i think air is cheaper.
if you do a FBSS air set-up. with good shit, you're looking at about 150o bucks (at least in my case)

do have the same moves with a juiced ride, you'dd need a 4 pump setup, and a buncha batteries... throw in a charger of some sort, oil, basic maintenance costs..

you get the picture..

air or hydos?
bags provide better ride quality.

if your looking for basic moves.

in the short run they are cheaper, especially with the bolt on kits.

in the long run they are cheaper because in general it costs less to maintain, you don't need peripheral equipment like chargers, battery tester, batteries, hydraulic fluid.

there are more consumables that need to be purchased for hydros.

with air its pretty much nothing, unless your running gas.

if you can handle all the pissing sounds, bags are the way to go.

hope this helps,

yes they can be baffled or even rerouted,

but many don't know how to and to tell you the truth, my uncles shop is the only one i've seen to do this successfully.

i had this method implemented on my sebring first.

for most, they will have to put up with the pissing sound unless they make other mods, which from what i've seen, only i have.

if you have a method please post if for the homies.

but I do hear a lot of ride running open valves with no mufflers or anything.

You can do fbss with a 2 pump setup but, you just won't be able to lift each individual wheel. As for reliability I think that they are the same as long as it is a good install. They both have their pros and cons though. Like with hydraulics you have to charge the batteries unless you have a street charger. Air you have to wait for your tanks to fill up. I know a lot of people say bags ride better and that is just beacause you usually relocate the shocks and with hydraulics most people don't. I have ahd both and if you run 2 ton coils all around with accum. then your ride will be just as good. Try riding in a car with bags that doesn't have the shocks put on yet. It rides worst then my cutty does with 3 1/2 tons up front and 2 tons out back. If your tryting to lift and lay then I would definately go with bags or if space is a concern cause air does take up a tad less space but, other than that I would have to say juice. Anyways, sorry for making this so long I just wanted to add my opinion.

ya, try to lift sides with a 2 pumps setup, you cant...

accumulators add a big cost to the juice setup

I have no front shocks, and the ride is great, so I cant say that bags ride better because of shocks...

I agree with you on the reliability issue...

but my air setup takes up just about as much room as a hydro setup

I know that you won't have individual control with a 2 pump setup inless you do the extra plumbing but, if he ran some soft coils up front and accumm. in the back then the ride would be just as good. How many tanks and compressors do you have? If you just have one of each then it should take up the same amount of room as a speaker box. I think it depends on what he is looking for. If its lift and lay then go with bags. If you want to do "moves" then go with hydraulics. For the price pumps are quicker than air. I just want everyone to know that I'm not trying to come in here bashing on bags. I have owned both and I'm going by my experience on them both.

all the local shops here charge 2600 for a basic bag set up and 1500 for a 2 pump 6 batt set up so hydro's is cheaper and in my mind better

I have a 12 gallon tank, and a nitrogen bottle... it takes up a shitload of room in the trunk of my 64, and thats a damn big trunk!
there is no arguing that juice can move faster and longer than bags, but, everything has its trade offs..
cool man, it's nice to hear educated opinions once in a while, instead of just saying "bags are for fags!!"

I would have to say that if your running a 12 gallon tank and a nitro bottle then yes that is going to take up some room. Most people only run a small tank and compressor. That is why I'm saying it takes less space. ;) Post up some pics of your trunk cause I would like to see them. I already know what the rest of your Impala looks like.

I give you a  Looks good Dan. Most people only use a tank about 1/3 of the size. And they don't use the nitro. Looks real good man.
