Kinetik is a battery designed for stereos. So they are designed for power storage and I don't know how well they would work/ last for hydros. I talked to someone from the company about them. He said that the comparable model to a yellow top optima is the 1800. If you look on
http://www.kinetikaudio.com/ you will see that the 1800 is $419.00. Too much money for me to even give them a try. Considering a yellow top optima can be purchased for $160. A blue top optima is the same price as well. So spending more than double the money doesn't make sense. When they first came out I did an install with 3 of the 600 series Kinetiks. They wouldn't even lift the car. It was impossible to return the batteries to the retail store they were purchased from. They wouldn't take them back. So a waste of $600. I would not buy Kinetiks for full blown retail. If you could find a deal on the 1800's or larger for cheaper than an optima, then MAYBE give them a try.
