whats the difference between a 59-60 frame and 61-64 frame,,is it longer,shorter,wider,etc,,someone on another website site the only thing different are the mounts,,can someone thats know verify or help with some info,,thanksss

sounds like youre in the same boat I am, I have a wrapped and miolded 61-64 frame that I intended to put under a 64, but now I have a 60, so....

I was told the frame is longer and wider.

I would think that the frame would be different on a 2dr than a 4dr, but dont know :dunno:

58 is 58 only, shorter wheelbase, different back suspension. 59-60 are the same but different from 61-64. The back of the frame on a 59-60 is different somehow, it might be a little longer in the back.

2 and 4 doors are the same. Convertibles are different, extra reinforcement and mounts.

-58-60 are the same that I know of....they are longer than the later models

-61-64 are the same I know for sure.

-all the convertables frames had an extra set of body mounts.

the rear channel connecting the rails on the 59-60 frame is flipped the opposite way from the 61-64, due to the way the bumper bolts on

59-60 are 2'' longer...rear cross brace 'L' shaped and body mount after the hump are 2'' farther back.... from 'x' forward the frame rails don't dip down , but are straight on top.....as for 61-64 'c' channel rear cross brace ,2'' shorter and at the 'x' the frame rails drop 1'' about 14'' from the 'x' to allow a lower floor board

but with some relocation of body mounts and cropping rear of frame....it makes for a bigger inch hopping frame then factory 61-64 frame :0

Im debating buying a plasma and doing it myself, but I dont have alot of time with school and everything, or the room, or the equipment needed to handle flipping the frame around and shit.
I need a garage the size of Timmmmmmays, or midget joes...
