hey i have heard that you should put 7" rims in the front and 6" rims on the back cause it was better for the tranny or something anyone have opinions or the truth for that matter.

has nothing to do with the transmission. you may have to run 6" wide wheels on the back if your car has fender skirts. this avoids having to shorten the axle, which would be the proper way to do things.
