Pontiac Fieros used to come with speakers built into the headrests stock, and that was in the early to mid 80's. I got to ride in one and the sound sounded pretty smooth right at your ears. I guess these headrest speakers were an option Pontiac offered on Fieros back in the day. So yeah, these are nothing new!
