well, I had a blowjax DC7000 compressor at first, which is a 3/4" HP
it took 10 damn minutes to refill my 12 gallon tank to 175PSI :angry:
plus it was noisy
the 209 York that I run now, at idle, will refill the tank in about a minute and a half, with the idle speed set to about 700RPM
