My power cap is beeping...

I have a 20 farad Stinger power cap and it beeps when I kick the car on. I've also noticed that the center doesn't always light up in Blue. I'm running under 11 volts (time for a new battery), could this be my issue?

Also, when I'm driving, it's like my subs cut in & out. Could this be from the power cap as well? Like, not enough juice perhaps?

I'm confused here. System was professionally installed over a year ago and I've never had any issues until now.

the reason why it beeps its telling you that your voltage is low... most caps will let out a beeping sound when you go way over voltagte and under. So yeah its time for a new battery or a new alternator. the blue light wont turn on cause you have low voltage in the car.

an easy way to check things out is to grab a volt meter and check the voltage of the battery at the posts, now go to the amps and check the voltage at the amp terminals ( or at the caps terminals) if they are not the same, you have some bad connnections. a drop of 1/2 volt is questionable to blame a bad connection, any thing more then there is a problem.

It could be anything from the fuse, fuse holder, terminals not being crimped/soldered good enough, or a weak or loose ground.

try that and see.

I have a Cadillac and it tells me the voltage. And surprisingly, the Stinger Power Cap has one as well. They both are right on the money and they both read at 10-12 volts.

I did pop back the cover and noticed that my Power wire was partially exposed. I'm thinkin that it may very well be my power wire to my subs and that's coming a part. Once I get some time to get out there to fix it, I'll report back..
