That is what we are doing on my frame off...we have it on the rotisserie and we have plated the inside of the pearch, now working on the outside by just plating over it all....we made these:

Which will relocate the a arm mount after it is completely plated over.

Here are the pieces of 1/4" that will be going inside the pearch, and
on the belly.

79 cutty u guys heated the steel to temper it right? Does it make it better for bending too or what not? Also what car u doing the frame for your regal or the grouch? What's the set up going to be like radical or stock? I'm just asking because I just went and looked at a SUPER CLEAN g body for under a grand. The guys mother used to drive it to church and town but has now passed and they are the original owners of the car. So maybe I'm trying to see what mn coming out with now that the MALIBU from rollerz is on the bumper

yeah you can do it from underneath the frame just cut the fingers out the way n cut a plate to fit up inside the perch n weld it in

Hell no we didn't use any heat! That weakens the steel......good old fashion man power!

I have a build topic on the entire car.

Alright I have a couple more questions...

1) Will I need to weld in a little piece of metal pipe or use some PVC in the holes of the bridge so the cylinders dont get worn or sqweek by rubbing against the metal? I plan on making the holes 1/4" bigger than the cylinder all the way around btw.

2) If I mount the powerballs exactly where the original spring perches
are will I have problems with the powerball not being able to rotate enuff when locking up? (using 14" cylinders)

Thanks, use big ass clamps to bend your steel, Its a pain inthe ass but it will stay stronger and no hammer marks!
[/b]
  C clamps and no heat! Been using the hammer a little....but still better than heating it!

1.) Look for bridge topics in the hydraulic section....there are plenty of good builds/topics to answer that.

2. Shouldn't be a problem in stock location. If anything...a little forward on the rear axle is better than back.

1. alot of ppl use a piece of pipe, or pvc so the cyl doesnt rub against the frame and body sheetmetal and sqweek.

2. thats fine.
